The Ryan Batman Williams Foundation is a 501 c(3) non-profit charitable organization committed to helping those fighting pediatric cancer by both raising awareness and funds for research and to provide assistance for the families. Family and friends established the foundation in early 2009 in memory of Ryan, a.k.a. “Batman,” a true superhero who bravely battled Neuroblastoma. He earned his angel wings at 5 years of age on July 9, 2008. His complete journey starting at diagnosis is recorded in his caringbridge journal.
Fundraising - We raise funds through online donations and at our annual golf tournament.
During the 2011 golf tournament, we proudly presented Texas Children's Cancer Center a check for $25,000 for research.
Research - In 2009, we donated $25,000 to Texas Children’s Cancer Center for Neuroblastoma Research.
Hospital Donations- In 2009, we donated $3,000 to Texas Children Cancer Center's Legacy of Love program...providing care to terminal patients and their families.
Care Baskets - Our goal is to give a care basket to every family who has been stunned by the news that their child has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at Texas Children’s Hospital during their first hospital stay. Baskets will include: snacks, parking passes, toiletries, quarters for vending machines, restaurant gift cards and gifts for the patient and family.
Awareness - We strive to bring awareness to the struggle of those children battling cancer. We intend to raise awareness during the annual golf tournament. Guest speakers, such as Dr. Heidi Russell, will educate those in attendance.
